Choosing an undergraduate program is one of those decisions that feels bigger than just the academic aspect. In these four years, you will discover who you are and where you are heading.
Let’s face it. When searching for the right university, many focus on the practical details. Program variety, campus facilities, accreditation, and rankings. These are important, no doubt. They help us check the boxes and narrow down options. But those facts don’t capture the full picture.
At Dar Al-Hekma University, the emphasis goes far beyond checklists. Here, education is designed to be transformative. The university prepares its students to excel in their chosen fields, all while they adapt, innovate, and lead in the real world.
The university’s commitment to nurturing students’ academic and personal growth is seen in its diverse range of undergraduate programs.
With 10 departments covering a wide range of domains, students have the freedom to explore their passions and make their own paths. But today, we’re spotlighting just three of these programs. Programs that provide the resources and mentorship you’ll need to shape your future.
#1 Bachelor of Visual Communication
Social media, websites, news, and apps…today, everything is digitalized. What connects us in this digital world now is the ” image,” and in an era where visuals dominate how we communicate, the need for skilled professionals who can create meaningful content has never been higher.
The Visual Communication Department at DAH responds to this demand by offering programs that prepare students for the dynamic, evolving world that shows no signs of slowing down.
The department offers three bachelor’s programs: Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, and User Experience. Each one focuses on a specific area of visual communication, but they all share one clear goal:
Empowering students with the skills to bring ideas to life in a way that resonates and engages.
#2 Bachelor of Psychology
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our perspectives on the importance of mental health in ways we couldn’t have predicted. Today, as new challenges arise every second, understanding human behavior and emotional well-being is no longer a luxury.
With Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape and Vision 2030 in mind, this four-year program offers a strong foundation in psychological theories, research methods, and practical applications.
In your years there, you’ll learn to analyze behavior, understand mental processes, and develop interventions that make a real difference in people’s lives.
But what sets this program apart is that students benefit from innovative courses not commonly found at other universities, as well as access to faculty members who are active practitioners in the field. This combination ensures that learning is grounded in current research and real-world experience.
Graduates leave well-prepared to pursue a range of careers in mental health, counseling, social services, human resources, education, and more.
#3 Bachelor of Law
Dar Al-Hekma’s Bachelor of Law program was the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia to offer a bilingual curriculum for women.
It’s also the first program in the Western region of the Kingdom to teach international law, which was a significant milestone for students aiming to work across borders.
Over the years, DAH law students have represented the Kingdom in international arbitration competitions and have been ranked best in the Middle East for four years in a row.
With faculty educated at some of the world’s most prestigious universities, students gain diverse perspectives while staying rooted in Saudi legal frameworks. And for those ready to take their legal education further, the journey doesn’t end here. Graduates can continue with Dar Al-Hekma’s own LLM in Commercial Law.
Across every department, students are challenged to think deeper, aim higher, and graduate not just with a degree, but with direction. Because at DAH, learning is only the beginning.
